Checking how quick your website loads is important, not only for your peace of mind that it is working efficiently but also that for potential customers your website is super fast.
Fortunately, Google has recently added Site Speed to their analytics portal where you can check page load times. It has always traditionally been very difficult to measure page load times so this is very refreshing news.
There are some downsides though which we are sure will be remedied in the future.
It only measure site speed when your visitors have the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer 9
- Google Chrome
(These are the only browsers that currently support HTML 5 Navigation Timing)
Also, it only samples a small percentage of page loads, nevertheless, it should give you a really good indication of what is going on with your websites' performance.
