Huntingdon railway station to be refurbished
The ticket hall at Huntingdon station is to be refurbished, First Capital Connect (FCC) has announced. The firm said the work, which will start on May 7 and take four weeks, will be sympathetic to the traditional design of the Grade II listed building which was opened in 1850 and is currently used by about 1.67million passengers a year. Wood panelling will be renewed, redundant fittings and cabling will be removed, new lighting will be fitted both inside and out, with heritage style lamps on the exterior of the building and the interior will be painted.
