10 Google Facts You May Not Know
As with many web design agencies, at Pebble we work a lot with Google on a daily basis and we thought we would share some fun facts about the search giant.
1. Co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin originally named Google 'Backrub'
We don't think that has the same ring to it as Google.
2. Since 2010, Google has been acquiring an average of one company every week
You would have heard of some of the companies it has acquired like AdMob, reCAPTCHA, SocialGrapple, Waze and HTC
3. Larry and Sergey's private planes have runways in NASA, where no other planes are allowed to land

5. Did you know what the "I'm feeling lucky button" costs Google $150 million per year because it bypasses all its ads.
6. Every minute of the day, 2 million searches are performed on Google.
7. Google is currently developing a computer that is so smart it can program itself. Also, known as artificial intelligence.
8. In 2013, Google "went down" for 5 minutes. In that time, global internet traffic dropped by 40%
9. The domain name "googlesucks.com" is actually owned by Google
10. If you Google "Atari Breakout" you can actually play the game.
