You may have heard the term CAPTCHA bounced around the Internet or amongst friends and colleagues and perhaps wondered what this could do for you?
Well, this 2 minute blog post will tell you everything you need to know.
CAPTCHA is an acronym for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. It is a visual confirmation used in website submission forms to ensure the submission of an entry is not automatically done by a computer/bot that has found your website.
Basically, CAPTCHA is an image with a text shown on it, the user must type the same characters as the ones on the image to verify s/he is human, these days they also feature unusual looking pictures and you may be asked to click on all the images that have a picture of a tree in it, or maybe a picture of a pizza etc.
By having a CAPTCHA on your submission page you are just adding that additional layer of security to your form so automated systems cannot spam you via your form.
If you haven't got CAPTCHA installed on your submission or contact form speak to Pebble today on 01733 902070 or via our contact form (where we have a CAPTCHA).
